Salooni-

Salooni is tehsil and sub devision in Distt chamba Himachal Pradesh. It's situated on green hill surrounded by Cedrus Deodara. Salooni, at a height of 1829 meters and 56 km from Chamba, offers a panoramic view of the snow-covered hills and peaks. It is of course, the captivating landscape around Chamba that completes the picture. It all begins with a range of about 7,000 feet between the Pir Panjal and the Dhauladhar and a place called Salooni. Salooni is a vantage point for some of the finest views in this kaleidoscopic topography. It stares into the picturesque Bhandal valley. This pleasant place links Chamba with Kashmir valley. The Salooni is also famous for its Apple Orchards, vegetables and toughest roads.

How To Reach- You can reach salooni by Road only. Distance from Chamba to salooni is 50 KM and it took 2 hour.F from Pathankot distance is 140 km and it will take 5 hours to Reach.

Accommodation - Salooni have Two Rest house for stay. One is under HPPWD & other one is under IPH department

The beautiful Bhandal Valley with its wealth of wildlife is at the western extremity of Himachal Pradesh. Approachable from Chamba, it is the base for a trek route that connects Chamba to the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir over the Dagni Dhar. The route begins along the right bank of the River Ravi, goes past Pukhri, down to the Siyul stream, then rises to Salooni on the Prithvi Jor ridge to finally arrive above the valley. From Bhandal via Langhera one reaches Kishtwar J&K. The highest point on the track is the Padri Gali at 3,200m

How To Reach- Bhandal is 20 km from salooni and Padhri is 40 Km from salooni.well connected with Road

Accommodation:- You can stay at Rest house Bhandal and Local hotel at Sanghni. 

Kilod-A Green Village( 2000M)

 Kilod is a Gram Panchayat  and have 12 km road distance from Tehsil Salooni. It's connected with Forest Thrilling road and reachable with small vehicle. Kilod Village is surrounded by Cedrus Deodara trees and Apple trees. Himachal Pradesh Horticulture department have grown here a Big apple orchard.

How To Reach- Village is 12 Km from Tehsil Head quarter salooni. It takes 1 to 1.30  hours from salooni to Kilod.

Accommodation - Currently their is only one Forest Rest house for stay. Soon Village people are getting inspired and can be start Home stay.
